چکیده
Introduction: Non-descent vaginal hysterectomy has been considered a valid alternative to the abdominal approach and is also preferred for benign uterine diseases without descent of uterus because it associated with fewer complications. Vaginal vault enlargement internal end vagina which usually closed during hysterectomy. This study was done see outcome closure versus non-closure in non-descent non-prolapsed uterus.
Methods: prospective Obstetrics Gynae Department, Sir Salimullah Medical College Mitford Hospital period July 2011 December 2011. A total number 50 patients gynecological disorders who admitted were enrolled this study. Among them, 25 had close (group I) whereas an open vault(group11). Indication hysterectomy, complications, blood transfusion, hospital stay (day) histopathological findings assessed both groups. Statistical analyses results obtained by using window based computer software devised Packages Social Sciences (SPSS-20).
Results: Majority found age group 41-45 years groups, 12(48.0%) Group I 18(72.0%) II. Blood transfusion needed 5(20.0%) 6(24.0%) II respectively. Post operative complications after 15 days follow-up, pelvic abscess 4.0% & not UTI but II.
Conclusion: Outcomes almost similar procedure. Ultimately did show any significant difference between either group.

A Comparative Study of Abdominal Versus Non Descent Vaginal Hysterectomy
Introduction: Both Abdominal and Vaginal are not competitive procedures but each has its own place in the operative armamentarium of the gynecologist. Guidelines incorporating uterine size, mobility accessibility, and the pathology confined to the uterus (no adnexal pathology or known or suspected adhesions) have been proposed as selection criteria for vaginal hysterectomy. This study was perfo...
متن کاملVaginal repair of vaginal vault dehiscence after postpartum hysterectomy
Vaginal vault dehiscence (VVD) may occur rarely after hysterectomy. Although mostly, a vaginal cuff dehiscence is seen after robotic or laparoscopic hysterectomy, it may also be observed as a complication of abdominal or vaginal hysterectomy. Vaginal repair is one of the techniques used for VVD. Here, we will describe a case of vaginally repaired VVD, associated with intra-abdominal hematoma af...
متن کاملLaparoscopic Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy versus Vaginal Hysterectomy
Hysterectomy is one of the commonest gynecological operations. The outcomes following vaginal hysterectomy have been proved to be better than those following abdominal hysterectomy. Since the availability and widespread use of laparoscopic hysterectomy, the mode of hysterectomy is an issue of debate in cases of non prolapsed uteri, amongst proponents of vaginal and laparoscopic surgery. Laparos...
متن کاملNon Descent Vaginal Hysterectomy (NDVH): Personal Experience in 158 Cases
Aims: To report personal experience of NDVH in 158 cases. Methods: All patients requiring hysterectomy for benign gynecological disorders who did not have any uterine descent were recruited for this study. NDVH was performed in cases where the uterus was mobile, with size not exceeding 20 weeks gestation, and with adequate vaginal access. Morcellation techniques like bisection, myomectomy, wedg...
متن کاملVaginal Hysterectomy for Non Descent Uterus- A Prospective Multicentric Study
Introduction: Vaginal route of hysterectomy is being reinvented in the present era due to the advantage of reduced operating time, lesser hospital stay, reduced morbidities and better patient satisfaction. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of vaginal hysterectomy as a primary route for all indicated cases, in absence of uterovaginal prolapse. Materials and...
